Cabinet also approved centrally sponsored PM SHRI scheme on 7th September 2022. The total project cost of PM SHRI Schools is Rs.27360 crore for the period of five years from year 2022-23 to 2026-27.

The PM-SHRI schools will have a modern, transformational and holistic method of imparting education which will further benefit more than 18 lakhs of students across India in the spirit of New Education Policy.
