National Pollution Control Day
National Pollution Control Day is observed on 2nd December every year in India. The day is also known as National Pollution Prevention Day focusing to spread awareness on preventing pollution and the ways we can manage and control industrial disasters to protect our mother nature. National pollution control day is observed in the memory of people who lost their lives in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy 1984. In Bhopal gas chemical accident on December 2-3, 1984 many people died due to poisonous gas Methyl Isocyanate (MIC).
